Cardinia Art Society

About

What is CART?

The Cardinia Art Society, is a volunteer run, not for profit organisation based in the Cardinia Shire founded and incorporated in June 2014.

It acts as an interface between the diverse individuals, Art Groups and businesses operating within the Cardinia Shire. CART aims to foster and promote the practice, development and appreciation of Visual Arts and enrich the artistic and cultural development of the Cardinia Shire.

On a practical level we will provide information, networking opportunities and resource sharing to our members as they require. Our resource library contains a data base of promotion outlets in and around the shire, a list of possible judges for shows and competitions as requested, guide to running a Bunnings BBQ, and a digital projector that is available for hire.

Who is CART?

The Cardinia Art Society is made up individual artists, those who love art, businesses operating in the shire and existing groups in the shire. These include Emerald Arts Society (EAS), South East Contemporary Art Network (SECAN), and Art Show Pakenham.

When do we meet?

The committee is elected at the AGM and meets frequently to discuss governance and upcoming events. Cart members meet quarterly for a fun afternoon to discuss matters of interest in the Shire, the ongoing role of CART and to sample artworks from members. Also we may visit or host an art events.
